Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dean of Faculty
The Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dean of the Faculty is responsible to develop and implement strategic academic and recruiting initiatives that assist the University to achieve its mission and fulfill its vision. The VPAA is responsible to provide academic leadership for all faculty and all academic programming. In addition, the VPAA has primary responsibility for developing and implementing strategies that facilitate worldview formation for faculty, staff, and students. The VPAA shares responsibility with other executive-level administrators to build and cultivate university relations with ABSC/SBC churches and denominational entities.
The VPAA is responsible to lead the university in the development, implementation, and assessment of worldview initiatives throughout the university with primary focus upon academics and vocation. Under the supervision and in coordination with the President, the VPAA has the responsibility to ensure that academic programs and degrees, student learning initiatives, accreditation requirements, and faculty development opportunities appropriately advance the academic goals, objectives, and mission of the university. The VPAA will lead the faculty to create degree programs, courses, and instructional methods that serve the academic goals and programs of the university as well as embody and express a Christian worldview.
