Open-Rank Faculty Position in Communication Sciences and Disorders
Brief Position Description:
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in the J. D. Patterson School of Natural Sciences at Ouachita Baptist University invites applications for an open rank faculty position to begin January 2026. The successful candidate will display evidence of successful classroom teaching, scholarship and/or qualified professional experience; an authentic Christian faith lived out through personal discipleship and active involvement in a local church; support for the university’s vision, mission, values, and statement of faith; and a commitment to our Christian liberal arts tradition. Primary responsibilities will include teaching a range of courses in the program but specifically, the Fundamentals of Speech and Hearing Science course, Phonetics, and Pediatric Feeding as well as Clinical Methods: Practicum supervision. Rank and salary are dependent on experience qualifications. All qualified candidates will be considered, but a master’s degree is required.
