Assistant Professor of Mathematics (Tenure Track)
The College of Science and Mathematics at Charleston Southern University is seeking applications for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Mathematics position, beginning in Fall 2025. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics or Statistics. The successful applicant will carry a 24-credit hour teaching load per academic year and will be responsible for teaching both lower- and upper-level mathematics courses.
Key Responsibilities
The typical teaching load is 24 credit hours per year (12 each major semester). Teaching duties will include both lower and upper level mathematics courses. Additonal duties will include advising; participating in scholarly activities; and university/community service. Participation in departmental meetings, trainings, and other tasks (as assigned by the chairperson) are also required. All specialties are encouraged to apply, but preference will be given to applicants with a specialty in Probabilty and/or Statistics.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Mathematics or Statistics.
