Assistant or Associate Professor of Educational Studies
Brief Position Description: Teaching responsibilities may include but are not limited to undergraduate and graduate courses (Fall- READ 3360 Beginning Literacy Development, READ 3362 Reading Instruction for Adolescent students, READ 3388 Child/Adolescent Literature, READ 4398 The Reading Professional) (Spring- ECED 4311 Theory/Foundation Early Childhood, READ 3362 Reading Instruction for Adolescent students, READ 3364 Developing Comprehensive/Inquiry, READ 4392- Organ & Materials for Reading)
Mentor and advise education majors in the Irvin School of Education Teacher Preparation Program. The faculty member must be willing to collaborate and serve on university committees, as well as offer professional expertise to educational areas in the community. Supervision/organization of teacher preparation pre-student teaching field experience in public schools. Regular teaching load for a full-time faculty member is 12 semester hours per long semester.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to student advisement, recruiting, service to the university and community, and ongoing departmental program assessment.
