Lecturer in Dept of Health, Human Performance & Recreation (Non-Tenure Track)

Brief Position Description: The Department of Health, Human Performance, and Recreation (HHPR) in Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences at Baylor University invites applications for two Full-Time Lecturer positions starting January 1, 2027 preferred, or August 1, 2027 negotiable. This position is for the academic year (mid-August to mid-May). Teaching opportunities during summer may be available depending on student demand. Full-time lecturers are eligible to progress toward the rank of Senior Lecturer and Teaching Professor. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation is equipped with two state-of-the-art biochemistry and applied exercise science laboratories. The department has current and potential collaborative ties with the Baylor College of Medicine, Baylor Scott and White Health, the VISN17 Veterans Administration Center for Excellence for Research on Returning War Veterans, and several local clinical settings. There is also a state-of-the-art anatomy teaching lab dedicated to the classes associated with these positions. The lab includes anatomic models, interactive computer whiteboards and a life-size virtual dissection table.
