Health, Human Performance and Recreation Department Chair Position

Brief Position Description:  Baylor University seeks an experienced, collaborative, and innovative Associate/Full Professor to serve as the Department Chair for the Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation. The anticipated start date for this position is August 1, 2027. This is a full-time position.
The Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation (HHPR) seeks a Department Chair to lead our growing department in meeting its mission of advancing the health sciences, kinesiology and recreation, and training the next generation of researchers and leaders in the varied disciplines within HHPR. The Chair will lead a department comprising faculty with a range of appointments and responsibilities, including tenured and tenure-track researchers, clinical faculty, and lecturers. The successful candidate will be committed to advancing research development, supporting excellence in teaching and professional practice, collaborating effectively with department and college-level leadership teams, and embodying a leadership approach that aligns with the University's strategic goals and Christian mission.
